About Us

Hello, I'm Jenice. I'm pleased to welcome you to Juicy Cactus! My husband and I have been married for 17 years and have two children together. My family's origins were in the Bahamas, but I was born in Waukegan, Illinois.

While attending Auburn University, I was recruited for a gymnastics scholarship and graduated in Dec '99. I'm a 2x inducted athlete in 2 sports. Hall of Fame Gymnast & a Hall of Fame Diver. I was Illinois State Champion '92 thru '95 the FIRST & the last, which no one/male or female has been able to beat my record in 26 years.

My early twenties were spent working for ABC Television, producing the Cha-Cha slide music video, and establishing my own television production company (Gypsy Eyes Entertainment). I owned & operated that business for 5 years before moving into the medical field as a sales manager for 5 years. Later, I opened my own gymnastics academy in Illinois, and later I moved to Memphis for ten years. It was the first and only African-owned gymnastics academy in Tennessee, where I also coached acrobatics and tumbling. We were ranked 2nd in the nation at the time I closed the business in November 2017.

I am thankful to all of you for making my business successful. Ninety-eight percent of my business comes from new customers! Women make up the majority of our sales, and 97% of our customers return! With this business, I aim to teach my community about the benefits of incorporating plant-based foods into their diets. While I am not vegan, I consume many plant-based meals every day. Having an overall healthy lifestyle can be fun, tasty, diverse, and cost-effective. It builds your body's ability to heal itself without medication (or very low doses), and you have a company that cares and values YOU!

The 3 pillars we practice are:

  1. Top-notch customer service
  2. Products of consistent quality and taste.
  3. Fun & whole food education made simple.

I have also survived cervical cancer. The diagnosis came 3 months after our first child was born. Through fruits, vegetables, salads, smoothies, juices, & other whole-food meals I prepared, I healed myself. Neither Chemo nor medication was required. As a result of this experience, I went on to do the same for those I love. In addition to healing my mother of stage 2 ovarian cancer, I healed my father of stage 4 colon cancer and my uncle of stage 4 prostate cancer. There was no need for medication or chemotherapy for any of them, only plant-based living was necessary. As a result of my story & real-life experience/success, many doctors in Memphis have asked me to speak at their events. I find it pretty neat to be asked to help patients of well-known doctors despite not having a medical degree.

In Kumasi, Ghana, we became landowners on July 4th, 2020. There will be a "Juicy Cactus" for you to visit, as well as a small boutique hotel in the future.
